Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu wanted the withdrawal of currency notes of Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 500 denomination from circulation and routing all monetary transactions through banks to check corruption and hawala market in the country.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, he favoured use of only Rs.100 and lesser value notes as it would help in easy identification of hoarding of currency. The annual Mahanadu of TDP next week will take a view on this.
